Japanese Language and Culture Center Kokoro

Japanese Language and Culture Center KOKORO was founded in the light of increasing interest and demand in Japanese culture and language in Tajikistan. The main goal of the Center is to establish contacts with Japanese schools and centers, to increase knowledge about the culture of Japan and act as a cultural bridge between Tajikistan and Japan. Japanese Language and Culture Center offers the A1 level Japanese language course, which corresponds to the beginner level.


  • Lessons are held in groups of no more than 8 persons.
  • The course attendees are older than 15 years.
  • The A1 level course duration 5 months (20weeks).
  • Lessons are held twice a week.
  • A lesson duration is two hours (120 minutes).
  • A certificate is issued at the end of the course given that an attendee scores more than 60 credits in the final test and has attendance rate of more than 60%.
  • Meetings with native Japanese speakers are held once a month to help develop communicative skills; different cultural events are organized to get a better understanding and a closer look at cultural background of Japan.
